New Year Resolution 2016

It is funny . Isn't? Here is my list for 2016 Must: Reading books is the topmost promise for this year. It may bring eye strain and trouble my eyesight. But anyway I am going to do. Try: Perhaps a little strange and absurd but I am trying this- Make a short distance (20-30 kms) travel every week with no purpose. I am targeting 250 kms/week (including work commutation about 30kms/day) Okay: Take a journal of dreams that come while sleeping :) ForgetNot : + Rest from the 2015 list . Comparing with previous years, I spent a lot on books this year but couldn't read much. I watched about 20 movies less than last year. Kovil Pillai P.

Beyond Survival

How blessed your life is! There are people to take care of you even before you know yourself, if not God, it starts from your parents. You find friends. You learn from teachers. You meet people who can guide you. You are given laws and rules to live better life. If you look a little deeper you will realise that everyone and everything are actually preparing you to survive better in this world. No doubt, you still make your impression on the things you do. You still grow and reach higher states. Yet it is only on the same survival ground but at different level. You go on surviving until the eventuality releases you from the pangs of dragging life. No matter how comfortable, how successful the walk of your life is, if the road is paved by someone else and you are directed on it, then I call it a survival walk, survive to show your presence to the world. Can you escape from this and walk on your own direction? Definitely yes, that is what called as dreams and that is what meant to be...

December Rain - 6

It is no longer a fascinating story. It has become routine again now as it was before. The media has to invent new ways to keep me interested. I was talking about women safety. I was talking about women rights. I was talking about laws and punishments for the crime against them. Together with my friends, I shared posts on social media with the hope that every single voice counts and that is the way we bring change in this world. I remember the Delhi girl instance . I also realise that more cruel and more brutal of this are still happening around. That is fine, at least ignorable, I have something else to talk now. And so are my friends. I choose a land in a posh area and I know how to buy it in less time and whom to pay. I build a beautiful house, yes decorated with exotic lights, thanks to the electricity board for the quick connection.I keep two rooms at the top - inexpensive enough so that I can demolish it when the Government doesn't like it. How can the 2G ...

If you see buddha on the road kill him!

Somehow she can make you do the things that you don't want to do. All you can do is, just sit alone and keep wondering how she made you perform something in which you see no value, no interest. Whether it is your mother or your wife or your girl friend or your daughter, they seem to know the trick. You may not find any persuading technique that doesn't have its root in their way of making things happening. I might be wrong in this observation but I am very sure on the other thing - that is, it is never an easy job to convince someone to do something. At times, multiple sources can create an image which itself could persuade you to do something. For example, you hear few random people talking about a movie in a coffee shop. You hear the same movie mentioned by your colleagues in their conversation. You check the movie review and possibly watch the trailer of the movie. And now when you get a chance to watch a movie, you might go for this movie which no one actually suggested. ...

Bury the pain and start loving the new

Oh, how painful, the first gone - the colour of your life! You wish that heartbreaking moment had never happened to you. Alas, it had happened! I can understand your turmoil. In fact, most of us do understand this uneasy feeling that kills you every moment. Remember, there are millions of young people like you who go through this phase of life. I guess (only guess) girls are so much cautious about it and they don't go through this hell, at least, majority of them. You won't know when this thought of gone thing would resurface and hurt you. You might be talking and laughing with your friends while sipping a cup of coffee. You accidentally see something that reminds you of your own. You are disturbed and feel like throwing your coffee - though it need not be the reason for your current state. In fact, you do trash it! Your friends can see what you are going through. If you have got married friends in your group, they may try to help by quoting "this too shall pass". A...

road crossing, The Crossings!

Distance = Speed X Time. Given any two of the three values, getting the third one is extremely simple and does't require any help from my three years mathematics degree. I don't know the exact distance that I need cover to cross the road and avoid the vehicle coming at the unknown speed from the unknown distance. I neither know my speed nor I know the time I have. I generally go with my instincts and it worked so far ;) Whether it is based on our past history or the history written for us, our instincts works in a marvelous way. Of course, it dies at the moment when we start questioning its trueness. The median strip here is so wonderful with lush green covered everywhere and a few scraggly little bushes here and there and a row of wild trees. What if I see a snake on a random day? Yeah, a very beautiful snake wiggling its tongue and exhibiting its splendid hoods. What will I do? Will I take few quick photos and share? No way, I am sure I won't do that. I will run...

Aiyampettai Arivudainambi Kaliyaperumal Chandran

It may mean the same whether he says "Honey, please don't touch it!" or she says "Stupid, take this". No matter how superior the language is, we still easily understand things beyond what the mere words could mean. Perhaps, part of this luxury is what results in our choice of words to address someone. Apart from official purposes, we don't use the real name of a person anywhere, not even the KG kids are using it. Are they? Apart from animal names and local language "special names", friend ( "Nanba" sounds sweeter than the English word) is one of the common words we use in our closed circles. Whether we accept or not we get assigned sisters through our friends, perhaps that is the natural reason for the "Machi" getting so popular in our school, college and later days. I am not sure how long we have been using the word "Ji" in our place but I am hearing it only in the last few years. It is very short, gender neutral ...
