I think I had hotmail account also but I was comfortable with Yahoo! Mail. And then gMail came with some cool features, especially the storage. I still kept my Yahoo!Mail as a primary email id. And slowly(!) gMail overtook other email service providers and become very famous. It has been just few years since I started using gMail, merely because of the free pop service. I tried rediff and indiatimes too. Never felt great about them. Few days back, I got an email from Yahoo!Mail thanking me for using Yahoo!Mail for more than 10 years.
