Do you see love or hatred when I say that I love my country? Loving my country could mean that I am proud of its culture, or I appreciate the underlying values or the power it has, or the leaders it has produced, or I am just committed do things for my country. It could be a combination of these and many. The problem arises when something either from my country or from another country undermine and ridicule the thing that I hold close to my heart. My reaction to that could be a hatred, a revenge taking mentality or something that is not normal to me.
You can check the history behind the monuments like Taj Mahal and Coral Castle. They are built in the name of love. Should the love be expressed in this way? Of course, this is just one way of it and not the only way. At times, madness and holiness are just a perception, and love is the reason for it.
How much pain a mother can endure for her child? That is limitless. Can she also do some stupid acts out of love? And some brave acts? We hear countless instances of all these.
The word “love” is very vague. You are in fear when your “love” is doing something dangerous. You are angry when your “love” is unfairly treated. You are sad at your “love’s” loss. You become braver when your “love” needs your heroic acts. You are heartbroken when you cannot save your “love”. Helpless, hopeless, stressed, depressed, cheerful, calmness, kindness, joyful … this list got too many and you can find that “love” is either directly or indirectly triggers them. Can we say that the love is the root of all the emotional causes, and every emotion is created because of love?
Usually, I buy and read book suggested by my friends but no one suggested me to read the book "The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini". I neither heard about it before I accidentally bought it. I was looking for the books I planned to buy in the Chennai Bookfair 2011 and I found this book . There was something attractive, though it was not as beautiful as of many of the books cover design, it should be the cover of it, because all I could see was only the book cover. I took it in my hand and asked myself, should I buy this?, yes was the answer and I bought it. I completed reading this book last week, after keeping it the shelf for almost 2 years. I am glad I got this book. It is one of best books I read in the recent years.
