My Hansie can fool me

Here cometh April again, and as far as I can see the world hath more fools in it than ever. - Charles Lamb

I am not sure whether you can be fooled or not, but I am sure I can be fooled easily. That is what my Hansie enjoys doing it every day. That is what part of gods, world leaders, politicians, scientists, priests, et cetera are enjoy doing.

When do you realise that you are fooled by someone? I get two possible scenarios - First: I realise it later. Second: I can never realise it. The second one is very simple to handle. Because, there is nothing to do. I can’t think of an example for this at this moment. Please try if you wish.

The first one is a little serious one. I am not giving you an example as there are so many that you yourself can list. Since I know it now, I have two options - First: I can react and do something. Second: I can ignore it. The second one is easy once I decide to ignore it. That is, I do nothing.

The first one is tough to handle. I can’t quote an example as it is subjective and you cannot agree with me. Now that I have to react, I find two ways to do - First: Positive and sportive. Second: Negative and take revenge. The second one is tough to do because it is tough.

The first one is easy. I just have to repeat April 1.

There is a third scenario: You know that you are going to be fooled and yet you allow it. Well, again, two cases - First: You have control Second: You don’t have control. If I already know then am I really get fooled? Let me ignore this.

There are two things that Hansie hates - First: Eating food Second: Taking a bath. Fortunately, both are easy to handle.

Hansie got no problem in eating dog treats. When it comes to his usual food, he would sit and stare at the food bowl as if he is not hungry at all. If I add his favourite “toppings,” he would finish it in a jiffy. Of course, the actual food would remain untouched. He could finish it in a minute when he is in the right mood, often, right after I feel tired of asking him to eat and about moving. The easiest one is to call my other pet dog.

He is too quick to read the signs that he is going to be taken for a bath. He would immediately run under the cot and sit at the farthest corner. The nicest thing is that he would turn his face to the opposite side and stay as if he is asleep. He won’t change his position, no matter how many times I call and how many tones I use. Of course, the cutest is his wagging tail which he can’t control. The easiest is to call my dad. He won’t wait for Hansie’s response.

Letting someone to fool us is not always a bad thing. Our parents could be the masters of it.

The Kite Runner

Usually, I buy and read book suggested by my friends but no one suggested me to read the book "The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini". I neither heard about it before I accidentally bought it. I was looking for the books I planned to buy in the Chennai Bookfair 2011 and I found this book . There was something attractive, though it was not as beautiful as of many of the books cover design, it should be the cover of it, because all I could see was only the book cover. I took it in my hand and asked myself, should I buy this?, yes was the answer and I bought it. I completed reading this book last week, after keeping it the shelf for almost 2 years. I am glad I got this book. It is one of best books I read in the recent years. The phrase " For you, a thousand times over " lingering in the mind is the proof that I really enjoyed reading this book and moved so much ;) " I became what I am today at the age of twelve, on a frigid overcast day in the winter of 1975 &

New Year Resolution 2015

Another new year, another ( same! ) set of new year resolutions. I wanted to read Thirukural and set target 50 last year but couldn't achieve it. But then I used one Kural in my every blog post . New Year Resolution List: For year 2016, I should shorten it to at least 1/3 of this list. At least, make it more readable ;) Reading Books: Book reading is going to be reduced this year. I am planning to reread few of the books I read last year. Of course, will find time to read books suggested by friends. I have got Bhagavad Gita tamil version from my friend and might read this before the end of 2015. I Am Malala, The Last Temptation of Jesus Christ, Mossad, 'The Madman, The Forerunner, Spirits Rebellious', Yudhargal Varalaarum Vaazkaiyum, If You Meet The Buddha On The Road Kill Him are few of the books I enjoyed reading. By the way, I have changed the FB album title from "Books I read" to "Books I read - Not To Be Shared" ;) Accounting: How difficu
