Just joking… cab experiences

I occasionally read some book while coming to office by cab. Ramana would take not more than five minutes to fall asleep when he sits next to me. I would be like, “hey, I am the one reading the book and why should he sleep now?”. Perhaps he tried to read a paragraph. Later I realised the fact that I could sustain just a little longer than he. Yeah, I feel sleepy only after 20 minutes, just when I start reading my mails in the office.

When Amal came, I requested him to take the window seat as I prefer the middle seat. I am a large guy and the middle seat is better. I took about 70% of the space and the poor Amal had to adjust a lot with his laptop bag. The person sitting in the front seat pushed back his seat, slowly, carefully and in steps. OMG, you should see Amal’s predicament. Of course, it his mistake. He and other lean people should eat well so that we can make them all two seats in a row instead of three.

Have you seen Prumasha or Jakran talking over the phone? I always wonder how they could be so expressive. You can find all sort of emotions in their voice in the 15-30 minutes talk. By the way, I know if you had seen me and my teammate talking when we sit next to each other you would have got the same impression. We just talk about everything. Of course, most of you got our earphones “plugged in” :(

It happens… it happens to me When I see a Force Traveller at a distance I pray that to be a company cab and I follow it up with another small prayer that the front seat should be empty. When the cab is little closer and I can see the company logo and an empty seat, I thank god and get ready. Ready? Oh, the driver fails to notice me No company placard. I have learnt the lesson. I should pray even before I start from home and the prayer should be complete.

New Year Resolution 2015

Another new year, another ( same! ) set of new year resolutions. I wanted to read Thirukural and set target 50 last year but couldn't achieve it. But then I used one Kural in my every blog post . New Year Resolution List: For year 2016, I should shorten it to at least 1/3 of this list. At least, make it more readable ;) Reading Books: Book reading is going to be reduced this year. I am planning to reread few of the books I read last year. Of course, will find time to read books suggested by friends. I have got Bhagavad Gita tamil version from my friend and might read this before the end of 2015. I Am Malala, The Last Temptation of Jesus Christ, Mossad, 'The Madman, The Forerunner, Spirits Rebellious', Yudhargal Varalaarum Vaazkaiyum, If You Meet The Buddha On The Road Kill Him are few of the books I enjoyed reading. By the way, I have changed the FB album title from "Books I read" to "Books I read - Not To Be Shared" ;) Accounting: How difficu...

My Book Shelf - Year 2017

I find it difficult to get this reading order. And I guess it would be still harder to read them without changing the order. I may allow one or two new books to be included in this list, if required. Share book reviews and ratings with Kovil Pillai, and even join a book club on Goodreads.
