Emptying the cup of friendship

No matter how stubborn and merciless the life is, our longing to relive the past never ends. We continuously suffer by accepting the changes that life offers. The change comes either coated with full of glory or with the supreme power that we have no option to deny it. Blessed are those who can keep their inner harmony intact despite the sufferings. The best thing we have done so far is getting used to the troubles and go on with, presumably, the positive side of it. We neither can live the past nor can escape from the changes happening.

If I start love eating mutton then the "I am vegetarian" tag will automatically get detached from me. I no longer should worry about killing and other dharmas. Instead I can focus on producing cheaper, healthier and tastier mutton. I may end up in finding the artificial mutton which lacks nothing when compared to the original. Though there is a soul in the handwritten letters, the advancement and ease of communication forced us to forget it. That is OK, isn't? It is not only the wonderful stars and moon, even the lights we created are beautiful. Go on, take it, love it - that is life!

DreamingAway: Emptying the cup of friendship

On the other hand, like the create-develop-destroy cycle, many things in this universe have not changed its fundamental principles. And we can be sure of few things that will remain forever - forever unchanged. Friendship is one of those. Don't even imagine getting back the kind of time you had with your friends in your childhood days. Even the friends disappear knowingly or unknowingly from our lives. It is been really very long since I heard of my mom's friends. Only the luckiest will have the same few friends throughout their life time. But the friendship remains in your heart for the life time.

The means of friendship has changed with the our life style and innovation around. But whatever happens beyond the basics don't really matter much as long as it confirms to the foundational qualities of it: நட்பிற்கு வீற்றிருக்கை யாதெனின் கொட்பின்றி ஒல்லும்வாய் ஊன்றும் நிலை. Can there be a friendship if there is no trust between two? Build your relationship on trust. No matter what the circumstance is, friendship itself will take its means to keep it alive forever. The cup of friendship can never be emptied by giving. But be mad and crazily attempt to empty this cup by sharing it with as many people as possible. Perhaps, that is one of the ways to say Happy Friendship Day to your good old friends whom you have no way of meeting again!

The Kite Runner

Usually, I buy and read book suggested by my friends but no one suggested me to read the book "The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini". I neither heard about it before I accidentally bought it. I was looking for the books I planned to buy in the Chennai Bookfair 2011 and I found this book . There was something attractive, though it was not as beautiful as of many of the books cover design, it should be the cover of it, because all I could see was only the book cover. I took it in my hand and asked myself, should I buy this?, yes was the answer and I bought it. I completed reading this book last week, after keeping it the shelf for almost 2 years. I am glad I got this book. It is one of best books I read in the recent years. The phrase " For you, a thousand times over " lingering in the mind is the proof that I really enjoyed reading this book and moved so much ;) " I became what I am today at the age of twelve, on a frigid overcast day in the winter of 1975 &

New Year Resolution 2015

Another new year, another ( same! ) set of new year resolutions. I wanted to read Thirukural and set target 50 last year but couldn't achieve it. But then I used one Kural in my every blog post . New Year Resolution List: For year 2016, I should shorten it to at least 1/3 of this list. At least, make it more readable ;) Reading Books: Book reading is going to be reduced this year. I am planning to reread few of the books I read last year. Of course, will find time to read books suggested by friends. I have got Bhagavad Gita tamil version from my friend and might read this before the end of 2015. I Am Malala, The Last Temptation of Jesus Christ, Mossad, 'The Madman, The Forerunner, Spirits Rebellious', Yudhargal Varalaarum Vaazkaiyum, If You Meet The Buddha On The Road Kill Him are few of the books I enjoyed reading. By the way, I have changed the FB album title from "Books I read" to "Books I read - Not To Be Shared" ;) Accounting: How difficu
