Wadjda

She is in her 20s and her smile, the smile, is the queen of smiles. The blossoming of it has more than just the physical perfection - something sparks in that smile that cannot be seen by everyone. Don't bother checking it, you neither have to believe me nor have to confirm it. It is too common that few believe in one thing and few others believe the exact opposite of it. Of course, there are things that we take without much disagreement. How about "Kids are too smart for the yester generations and their expressions are always cute". Do you agree?

DreamingAway: Wadjada

I had seen kids, age less than 10, in my school days too but I never appreciated them as mush as I do now. I am not sure whether it has to do anything with the age. I wonder how these kids are so smart. They can play mobile phone games better than you. They can tell you the route they visited recently. They can say about the favourite actor. They can spot the car model they like. They can tell you where their friend's father is working. And what about their expressions? How charming the noise they make! How enchanting their prattles are! Even their fake tears can captivate you and let you go response-less.

If you keep spending time with the kids you will know their world better. Once you understand their world you will know how magically joyful it is and how impossible it is for us to get the same! They will attract you a lot when you get the knack of moving in and moving out of their kind of mood. That is when Leslie Burke's fantasy world looks beautiful. That is where your eyes filled with tears when Ishaan hugs Nikumbh. That is why you can accept Chellamma and Kalyani. That is the reason for the thumbs up when Dre Parker 's kick knocks down Cheng. All are pure emotional touches.

It is a fantastically grand performance by Quvenzhané Wallis as Hushpuppy in the movie Beasts of the Southern Wild. Her loud screams and burps will hold you spellbound. You will love the way she argues with her father. You will "wow" even when she sets her house on fire. Your heart swings when she punches her dad with anger and with love. You will get mesmerised by each of her act. You will like this movie and I guess there are hundreds of other kids' movies that you may love watching.

New Year Resolution 2015

Another new year, another ( same! ) set of new year resolutions. I wanted to read Thirukural and set target 50 last year but couldn't achieve it. But then I used one Kural in my every blog post . New Year Resolution List: For year 2016, I should shorten it to at least 1/3 of this list. At least, make it more readable ;) Reading Books: Book reading is going to be reduced this year. I am planning to reread few of the books I read last year. Of course, will find time to read books suggested by friends. I have got Bhagavad Gita tamil version from my friend and might read this before the end of 2015. I Am Malala, The Last Temptation of Jesus Christ, Mossad, 'The Madman, The Forerunner, Spirits Rebellious', Yudhargal Varalaarum Vaazkaiyum, If You Meet The Buddha On The Road Kill Him are few of the books I enjoyed reading. By the way, I have changed the FB album title from "Books I read" to "Books I read - Not To Be Shared" ;) Accounting: How difficu...

My Book Shelf - Year 2017

I find it difficult to get this reading order. And I guess it would be still harder to read them without changing the order. I may allow one or two new books to be included in this list, if required. Share book reviews and ratings with Kovil Pillai, and even join a book club on Goodreads.
