Past hurts!

Can you be free of thoughts? You may not because otherwise science can create you. You look ahead, you look back, you swim in day’s stream, yet, you don't have the real control over your thoughts because it is so much attached to the things external to you. You know, the person in violet colour dress crossing your eyes in a fraction of seconds could bring you an episode of thoughts about someone else. This binding is the extremity of slavery. Don't expect to be free from it - you will miss the lifefulness of your being.

Past is past? Yes? But it never dies. You may not recall a thing but you can't erase anything. How wonderful (?) it would be if we could decide what to remember and what to not! It is a mystery, those old moments, in the form of thoughts, could resurface at any time. Still strange is the emotional turbulence it brings. At times, thinking of the happiest moments in your life could leave you in agony as if a dagger is piercing every bit of flesh in your body. At times, thinking of sad moments could run a riot inside yet leave a simple smile on your face - a sign of blissfulness - a divine contentment. Such as is the path; that is the elegance of God's arrogance.

'Poo' (Tamil movie) climax is very impressive. You have to watch the full movie (to my taste, it is absolutely boring) to appreciate the wonderfulness of its climax. Painful moments are shown neatly, of course, with a best fitting background song 'Choo Choo Maari'.

New Year Resolution 2015

Another new year, another ( same! ) set of new year resolutions. I wanted to read Thirukural and set target 50 last year but couldn't achieve it. But then I used one Kural in my every blog post . New Year Resolution List: For year 2016, I should shorten it to at least 1/3 of this list. At least, make it more readable ;) Reading Books: Book reading is going to be reduced this year. I am planning to reread few of the books I read last year. Of course, will find time to read books suggested by friends. I have got Bhagavad Gita tamil version from my friend and might read this before the end of 2015. I Am Malala, The Last Temptation of Jesus Christ, Mossad, 'The Madman, The Forerunner, Spirits Rebellious', Yudhargal Varalaarum Vaazkaiyum, If You Meet The Buddha On The Road Kill Him are few of the books I enjoyed reading. By the way, I have changed the FB album title from "Books I read" to "Books I read - Not To Be Shared" ;) Accounting: How difficu...

My Book Shelf - Year 2017

I find it difficult to get this reading order. And I guess it would be still harder to read them without changing the order. I may allow one or two new books to be included in this list, if required. Share book reviews and ratings with Kovil Pillai, and even join a book club on Goodreads.
